White man admits that he loves being white

January 4, 2012

Though he delivers it with humor, I truly believe he’s telling the truth about how he feels. Is this offensive to black people or should blacks respect his honesty?

He said it all, he said I’m not saying white is better but it is clearly better being white! He spoke it with humor and it is not only the truth as to how he feels, it is the truth period. It is understandable that some blacks may feel offended by the reality of this truth however, to be offended by his right to say it is pathetic.

First, I want to say he is funny and he is speaking the truth with humor. Isn’t that what black comedians do? He speaks of better opportunities a white person has being white.
Question: How many of us that are not caucasian wish we had the opportunities and not have to deal with negative sterotypes? How many of us when going for a job and see another job seeker that is white and wonder if that person may have a better chance because he/her is white?
Truth is, I Love being the Black woman I am and will not want to change the race I am for nothing. Ask me if I would want the opportunities to have a fair shake in certain situations where I may be judge only because of my skin color? Then yes of course.
This man is no different than a pretty woman saying aloud that ” I am glad I am a pretty woman” or a man saying ” I am glad I am muscalur type “. Wouldn’t these persons have alittle advantage of who they are than the person that is opposite of them? In our world, of course.
Instead of me getting caught up in the truth of what this comedian said, I work at minimizing the disadvantage society may put on me as a black person or better yet a black woman.
This can go on to other discussion but I will end now.
    Great Article Devin!!

I have no qualm with anyone being proud of or loving their ancestral heritage. Those of us who are scientific know that there is nothing in nature that supports the concept of White Supremacy. Everything that reinforces the mythology of Caucasians being “better” than any group of people of color exists within a context that they created or control. They do not control the Laws that govern ALL Existences and they would do well to get themselves under control instead of trying to rule others with their oppressive, suppressive and repressive concepts of human behavior and self-governance. Freedom is the natural heritage of all human beings; it was neither invented by, nor perfected by Caucasians in general or Americans in particular.

The Chinese built the Great Wall without any Caucasian help or supervision. People of color with wooly hair built pyramids without any Caucasian help or supervision. People of color with wooly hair know and have always known the Science of Sciences and the Science in Sciences. The decline of the American Empire is the last sign of the end of the Caucasian ruling cycle on planet Earth. Check the Clock of Destiny and the Wheel of Time and Existence.

I agree with the aforementioned comments! He is proud to be who he is and is entitled to his opinion, because it is his opinion about how he feels about his ethnicity.
Regardless, of the struggles our race endures, we endure and should continue to be proud of who we are. Truly we are unique, versatile, have many shades and phenomenal!

    Peace and Love!

No disrespect towards Pedro, I personally feel this is where many of “us” wreck. Instead of seeking the negative and promoting hate and discord amongst the races we would do better to take note and develop a positive image of ourselves and those that share our race and push for reform in our own communities. The point is if he can love himself, then I should love myself and those that share my race just as much as I strive to garner the respect, love , & acceptance of others and move forward.

      Just Saying

Hey it is what it is…I had no problem with what he said. I especially appreciate that he made it clear that white people aren’t better as well as saying in the future they are going to pay for it. I had a good laugh.

Louis CK is one of the funniest comedians of our generation. He is upfront, he doesn’t hide behind political correctness and he says intimate things about his race that Blacks spend decades debating. Plus, he writes for Chris Rock. Being upset with him would be insane.

You would have to know Louis CK to get this – or maybe not. This is a rather old joke that he’s been telling for a while and it’s in line with his social commentary on race, sexuality, etc. He is a very funny comedian. In fact, Chris Rock has a similar joke where he says something to the effect of their being a one-legged busboy that says he’s going to “ride this white thing out” to see where it takes him. “That’s how good it is to be white”.

It’s just social commentary. I applaud Louis and his show on FX tackles this issue head on. The young woman in the movie Pariah was in the episode.

He has a right to his opinion. Don’t black comedians do it, too. Heck, I’m glad to be black!

To be honest both black and white comedians joke about color. And believe or not, some of the stuff they be talking is true. They just twist and turn it around to be funny. Come on, we all laugh at these types of jokes. But there are a few that will go over the limit. More power to what ever color you are. Just treat All COLOR with Dignity and Respect. I just pray that more of our black families, will show more action and stop all the talking!!!

There is one place Louis CK can’t go in the past…Ancient Rome. He would have no doubt been one of those European tribes that were made slaves because he was an enemy of Rome. He would have been the “n” word during that time. Aside from that…that’s probably about it.
