Owner displays how he sells wigs to black women. Is this a good salesperson or disrespectful owner? It makes for great discussion… His last words? “Do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth? – Chris Tucker in Rush Hour”

    I saw the video about two weeks ago. I didn’t realize this was the story behind it. Crazy. He was basically mocking his customers. But on top of that, he doesn’t even have enough respect to sell the wings along with their packaging; what a shame. I cannot wait to open my store, so that I can implement true customer service. Thank you for sharing this.

    Really, and it seen to be very funny how he treats his customers. My opinion DISRESPECTFUL. Why would you sell your customers hair that has been expose to dirt and germs outside of the package? There should always be a sample of the products for them to check out. Once a customer has made a decision to purchase, give them the products sealed and package. One of the key elements in running a business is CUSTOMER SERVICE. You must treat your customers with RESPECT AND INTEGRITY. Wonder what he would have said, if they decided to return the hair???

    Not only are they disresptful but they`re intentionally disrespectful. And yes…the fault is ours & ours alone. We teach ppl how to treat us. When we stop settling for being treated no less than the Queens that we are…only than will their attitudes change.

    His comments, his actions and mocking is very disrespectful.
    Question is this article asked, Are we at fault?” I say, yes we are. When we go into these stores and buy there products, knowing they care nothing about us and their only interest in us as black shoppers is making a dollar and we STILL give the our business, then we are saying we don’t care, as long as we are saving a buck. I had many times stop going into a shop, restaurant, business when or if I am treated unfair or disrespectful.
    Is saving a dollar more important than your self respect?
    Well I say those who continue to shop after being treated unfairly at any establishment are saying yes their integrity and respect is for sell.
    I am not saying all Koreans are racist or treat us bad because I have friends and even family member that is Korean, but most Beauty Supply Shop owners just want your money black lady/man and don’t care about who you are as a person. Knowing this how does that make you feel? Ok, if you feel that way, then why do you keep going back to give them your business? Mmmmmm, so now you see why the answer to the question is, It is our fault!
    Try something new, stop shopping at Korean stores and give black own beauty supply stores a chance and see what service you will get. Bottom line, give your money to who will treat you with integrity and respect and stop sending signals to business owners no matter who they are that its ok to treat me bad as long as I can save a buck!

    Very disrespectful of course! Many Korean beauty supply owners have no respect for us but they prosper every day. This is a great post.
    We have to begin buying from one another and put the money back into our communities.
